Fishing the Avon at Christchurch
Christchurch, Dorset. A popular spot for fishing, from this boat, which seems to be permanently moored here. Christchurch Castle is on the far bank. This was taken from Castle Street Bridge using a Sony digital camera using Night Shot with a strong ND filter.
Millau Viaduct from Peyre, France
The amazing Millau Viaduct as seen from a nearby village. The viaduct carries the A75 Autoroute across the Tarn gorge. It was designed by a team led by engineer Michel Virlogeux and English architect Norman Foster and is the tallest bridge in the world at 336.4 metres. This image was taken with a FujiFilm camera and a yellow filter. This, with some post-processing, emulates the false colour of the infrared Ektachrome film.
Trees near Pont-faen
Landscape in the hills near Pont-faen which lies a little to the north-west of Brecon. Taken with a Sony camera using Night Shot and a strong ND filter.
River Manifold at Ilam
In drier weather part of ithe Manifold runs underground but this section, near Ilam Hall, flows all year. This shot was taken with a Canon compact camera which had its infrared blocking filter replaced with one with a roll-off around 720 nm. The colours have been modified by inverting the A and B colour components.
River Great Ouse at St Neots
Narrowboats at the Rivermill Marina in St Neots. This was taken with an infrared converted Canon compact camera and colours shifted in Photoshop.
Stump
In the hills above Brecon I found this juxtaposition of tree and tree stump. It was taken with a Sony camera using the Night Shot facility together with a strong ND filter. The colours are basically as they came out of the camera.

Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos
Castle of the Christian Monarchs, also known as the Alcázar of Córdoba, is a medieval palace located in the historic centre of Córdoba in Andalusia, Spain. This image was taken with a FujiFilm infrared camera with a deep blue filter. The colouration is basically as recorded by the camera.
