A short playlist of songs about dances that, to the best of my knowledge, don't really exist. If I think of any more, I'll add them!
It kicks off with Roxy Music's Do the Strand and ends with Elton John's Crocodile Rock by way of legendary English band Stackridge, the Liverpool Scene (with the late, great Adrian Henri), and Zoot Money's first record.
The wild card in the pack is much older, from a live recording at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York where Lena Horne explains The New Fangled Tango. ‘You just sort of stand there, and just sort of do it!’.
